As this project has been conducted on a volunteer, non-profit basis, the financial support of individuals like you is incredibly important to bringing this project to reality. Our fundraising efforts to date have raised approximately $30,000 from over 140 individuals across Canada and around the world, sales of our documentary film, as well as donations from organizations such as the Blaine Lake Doukhobor Ladies’ Club, the Doukhobor Society of Saskatoon, the Calgary Doukhobor Society, the Doukhobor Cultural Society of Saskatchewan, and the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan. We have also received contributions of approximately $8,000 in research funding from our partnership with the University of Saskatchewan for this project, grant funding of $16,000 from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), and a $6,000 grant from SaskCulture.
While these generous contributions were able to cover much of our initial production costs, we are continuing to raise funds to cover the considerable costs involved in a professional-quality project of this magnitude. We are aiming to raise an additional $20,000 to cover all of our production costs for this project. Individual donations to support this important work are continuing to be accepted. Please click the "Donate Now" button below to make an on-line contribution. If you prefer to contribute by cash or cheque, please contact us for further details. Also all proceeds from the sale of our documentary film "We've Concluded Our Assembly: The Saskatchewan Doukhobors" will go towards our production costs for this project: https://vimeo.com/ondemand/doukhobor
